A good lock is not enough.

Your door may look great, feel solid, and have a great multi-point lock, but what’s the point if it can be disabled in a few seconds via an inadequate cylinder lock? Here are four reasons why Ultion is different.

Hidden attack lock

When Ultion detects an attack it activates Lockdown Mode. A hidden firing pin in Ultion’s core secures the central cam and stops the intruder being able to open the door.

Unbeaten in every test, literally

As well as being approved by the Police and achieving the highest Kitemark star rating Ultion is tested by locksmiths with the Master Locksmith Association and is accredited with their highest standard. Sold Secure Diamond.

294,970 key combinations

Most security locks have only 5 or 6 pins. Ultion uses 11. This means that Ultion creates nearly 3 times the amount of key combinations required for the highest standard.

20-point drill protection

Both ends of every Ultion lock feature 20 hardened steel pins and plates each one positioned precisely to protect your lock from a drill attack.

If your alarm is ringing, it's too late.

Many UK homes have spent hundreds even thousands on an alarm that will tell everyone when an intruder is inside your home. Yet the lock on their door that physically stops them getting in probably cost £3.

Myth busters. Test yourself.

1 / 6

"Locks with kite marks or a star have definitely been snap tested"

True? or False?

False

It is possible to get a T007 1 star accredited lock and even a kite mark without having to be tested for snap protection.

Next Question

2 / 6

"The snap tested lock is still protecting me even if the key is on the inside of the door."

True? or False?

False

All tests are carried out on the basis of the key not being on the inside of the lock. Some high security cylinders offer no snap protection if the key is in the lock on the inside.

Next Question

3 / 6

"Locks with horizontal keys are more secure than vertical keys."

True? or False?

False

This is no guarantee of a secure lock. But a burglar may consider that the cylinder is more modern and as such be more secure, in turn not attempting to enter.

Next Question

4 / 6

"Any lock with a sacrificial section will protect from lock snapping"

True? or False?

False

Whilst sacrificial sections are one form of defense to a snapping attack many ‘anti-snap’ locks can be snapped in the centre and not on the sacrificial element as designed.

Next Question

5 / 6

"My door is secure because it has an expensive multipoint lock"

True? or False?

False

Strong multi-point locks are necessary and will prevent a burglar from trying to ram the door open, but burglars generally don’t try this. They will try to disable the multipoint lock by breaking the cheap cylinder lock.

Next Question

6 / 6

"Lock snapping is a regional attack method"

True? or False?

False

Because this entry method is so quick, easy and quiet on doors with cheap cylinder locks burglars all over the country have now adopted this as their preferred entry method.
